BridgeWater Mercantile is pleased to bring you Chamba Ware. Cookware handmade in South America that dates back to the age of the Incas. This beautiful eco-friendly cookware can go from the stovetop into the oven and onto your dinner table. The low-fired cookware provides very even heat. Chamba Ware is not glazed and contains no lead. It is burnished to a shine before firing (done by rubbing with an agate or cornelian pebble rolled smooth by the river), then smothered white-hot in leaves to blacken it, in the reduction process known as raku.

Chamba Ware is available in Casserole Dishes, Soup Tureens, Serving Dishes, Pitchers, Double Sauce Bowls, Salt Bowls, Traditional Soup Bowls, Dinner Plates and more.
